Structure And Preponderance

  • Open frame solenoid is the type has most simple structure. Its coil is exposed partially. And outlook is as FIG.1 showing.
  • In order to get maximum force with minimum size and weight, high permeability materials and high volume winding are considered. Designs of small-light are widely used in OA machines and game machines.

Points to be considered when operation:

1. CONCERNING TEMPERATURE
The values of open frame solenoid coil data are based on ambience temperature 40°C ,and plating on standard heat sink. And coil data is defined when rated operation, temperature rise 65°C Max

2. CONCERNING PROCESS OF PLUNGER
When users process on plunger (Material: Steel), do protect metal cutting powder from adhering on slot of plunger. As life will be decreased seriously due to metal powder.

Methods of selection
To choose suitable open frame solenoids, please determine followings:

1. PULL FORCE
Besides load, it's necessary to also consider variation of temperature and voltage. Therefore, please time load by safety coefficient 1.3 X.

2. DUTY CYCLE
Besides on time and off time, please also note Max. on time.

3. STROKE
To define required stroke.

4. OPERATION VOLTAGE
To define coil input DC voltage.

General Characteristics

  • Insulation class: A CLASS. (105°C)
  • Dielectric strength: AC 1000V,50/60Hz, 1min. (at normal temperature and normal humidity)
  • Insulation resistance: more than 100MO on a DC 500V (at normal temperature and normal humidity)
  • Life: to define required life
